TDS Return Due Dates: Quarter by Quarter

TDS returns are filed quarterly — 31 July, 31 October, 31 January and 31 May.

Deductors file TDS returns every quarter. The due dates are:

  • Q1 (Apr–Jun) — 31 July
  • Q2 (Jul–Sep) — 31 October
  • Q3 (Oct–Dec) — 31 January
  • Q4 (Jan–Mar) — 31 May

The tax itself is deposited monthly by the 7th (30 April for March). Late filing attracts a fee of ₹200/day under section 234E, and TDS certificates (Form 16/16A) must follow after each return.

This is general information, not professional advice — confirm the current position for your specific case before acting.
